Lockdown creativity
Yesterday we found out that we will be in lockdown for at least another 3 weeks. We have already been housebound for nearly 4 weeks. It seems unreal what is happening in the world at the moment. Going to the supermarket yesterday we all politely queued with 2 meters distance between us, patiently waiting to be let in. It has almost become the new normal. I wonder if we will ever get back to what we were used to? Time will tell.
One thing I would not like to get back to is the busyness, it has been quite refreshing to have to stop and rest and especially to get to know our lovely neighbors better. We moved to this area 8 months ago and I believe the forced lockdown has helped us to take more time to have little chats. The best thing has been to do creative activities with my very clever next door lady (keeping the safe social distancing of course). Every day I am looking forward to our catch ups over a cuppa and extra special is it when we get some paints, glues, paper and other stuff out to play. It has really helped us to do something creative, definitely good for the mind and soul!
So with 3 more weeks of isolation we shall think up more activities to keep us busy. What a blessing to have good neighbors!
I hope wherever you are that you will find time to be creative and play, you know it’s good for you.
Keep creating! 🙂
